There are 2 campgrounds in the park itself and many outside of the park.  See the campgrounds.  Like the majority of visitors to Acadia, folks choose to stay in the Bar Harbor area, the Southwest Harbor Area or over near Schoodic Peninsula.  You'll have several choices.  What we've done is explore the ones that are very popular.  Our exploration team takes you inside with our visual equipment with an exploration narrator.  You are sure to find this web site extremely helpful in allowing you to sort through where you can stay and ultimately where you make your reservations.  One choice you have is to stay at one of the  Bed and Breakfasts Inns located all around the region or  vacation cottage rentals which are a popular lodging option while visiting Acadia.    Enjoy the many mansions and quaint cottages that are private and some that now serve as Inns.  These historic beauties have been meticulously restored and maintained and offer modern conveniences.  The innkeepers and cottage owners are ever hospitable and can provide a plethora of information on the history of their inn or cottage, and their town as well as providing information about things to see and do in the area to make your stay in Acadia National Park as special as  you want it to be.  See inside the Bar Harbor lodging.  There are also wonderful cottages and cabins which are well suited for visitors looking for more privacy or larger space and amenities like home.    Another lodging option that you have is to plan your vacation stay at a more traditional choice which would be Acadia National Park hotels or the Bar Harbor Hotels.  You'll find plenty around for all tastes and budgets, all around the Acadia regions.   There are also several motels in Bar Harbor and around Acadia.  We take you inside the motels like this so you can see what those are like.  .
