Exploration of Mount Desert Island - Bar Harbor Maine: Virtual Tour Guide and Information    "WILD GARDENS OF ACADIA"   is a very popular attraction in the park because it displays the flowers and plants that are typical in the park and identifies them for you.  The area is divided into 12 plant communities such as mixed woods, roadside, mountain and others.   To get the most out of your exploration, be sure to stop at these Gardens of Acadia by Sieur DeMonts Springs and pick up the brochure that is available.  It will serve as a guide through this section of the park and is a good reference while exploring the park.   See if you can name the species as you explore the park and take pictures of each and label them....makes an interesting photo album or scrapbook.  The park respectfully requests no smoking and no pets.
This area is just under an acre  This is a lovely park to stroll.  You will find several places to sit, relax and enjoy this attraction.    There are microorganisms in the tiny spring fed brook.  At first blush, you will see circular movements in the water, but when you take a close look you will see tiny microorganisms
