Exploration of Acadia National Park: Virtual Tour Guide and Information "ACADIA TRAILS  and Mountains".

Throughout the Mountains of Acadia and Mount Desert Island you'll find a lot of trails that take you on scenic walks and hikes.

The easiest trail, offering instant gratification is the Shore Path in Bar Harbor which takes you on a stroll along the bay's edge where you'll have a nice breeze and enjoy watching lobster boats, sail boats, schooners and cruise ships while passion the mansions that line the shorepath and gave public permission to allow passage by.

Jordan Pond offers a trail which takes you on a 1/2 mile scenic walk around the pond.  This is a very easy trail to walk.  You will be walking along glacier formations and seeing the beautiful views around the pond along with watching folks canoe and kayak this area.

Sieur De Monts Spring - The Hemlock Road takes you on a 1.5 mile hike through the base of Dorr Mountain.  This is a  woodlands trail.

Ship Harbor, over on the Southwest Side of Mount Desert at Seawall is a 1.3 mile hike that we really enjoyed.  Rewards of gorgeous views come quickly here.  Plus, you can enjoy the rocky beach and picnic area nearby.

Bar Island in Bar Harbor.  This is a sandbar at low tide that provides access to the forested island.  It's off of West Street on Bridge Street.  It's any easy walk once you get on the gravel bar
